Dare 2B Artzy

Hello everyone! We are thrilled to welcome Dare 2B Artzy to the blog today! Cindy has some absolutely stunning butterfly cards to share with us today! Keep reading for a great step-by-step tutorial so you can make these all on your own!

Bonus: You could win the Tangle Jumpstart and Butterfly Tangle stamp sets ($32 value!) just for commenting on this post! Keep reading for more details!

Dare 2B Artzy can be “Clean and Simple” to “All Tangled Up”. One stamp set DOES NOT mean you only get one card design. We pack so much in each stamp set that your creative juices will never dry up.

Take a look at these two totally different cards created with the same Tangle Jumpstart stamp set (item #14170).

We offer great bundle sets as well.  Pair this stamp set up with the Butterfly Tangle (item #14168)  and matching Butterfly Die (item #D10)  and there is no end to how “artzy” you can get. You will find that most of our high quality dies match more then one stamp set. A great value! We are also very proud to say our stamps and dies are made in the USA!

Our first card uses basic stamping on white cardstock. Cut your paper to 3”x4”. Once you stamp the butterfly at the top you can trim down to 3” but fussy cut around the butterfly wings. Another option is to start with the 3”x3” square and stamp and diecut out the butterfly to layer on top.

Color in with your favorite markers and add layers of colored cardstock. I used copics and my layered paper sizes are listed.

Black: 4-1/8”x5-3/8”   ---   Green: 4”x4-1/2”   ---   Purple: 3-3/4” square

To create the perfect square border I cut out a 3” chipboard template and use a pencil to trace.  This is an easy way to line up the border stamp along the pencil lines.

Start filling in the square with swirls, flowers and butterflies.  Use a post-it note or washi tape to mask off the border. Use simple Zentangle patterns to fill in-between the stamped images.  The Tangle Jumpstart set has more open images to fill in or use the Butterfly Tangle set for an already tangled image.

Color in with your favorite markers and layer for a beautiful card or piece of art.

This is a great new series of stamps to embrace the new Zentangle trend! So many opportunities here!

Have fun and I DARE YOU 2B ARTZY!
